Brentwood's New Apprentice Has Arrived !WEEKEND PHOENIX RISING

My special guest on Saturday is Brentwood’s new mayor Councillor Frank Kenny. Frank has just presented Brentwood’s Talented 100 awards, so he’ll be telling us about some of the area’s amazing local youngsters. PLUS we’ll hear about Woodlands School Summer Fayre, which he’ll be attending, in his official mayoral capacity, later that day.
BIG TOP< BIG NEWS ! The circus is coming to town – yes, it’s actually coming to Brentwood! - the first circus in town for many years. But it’s a circus with a difference – it’s coming all the way from France, there are no live animals, and it’s being held at a school – Holy Trees Primary. Caroline Horden from the school will be in the Phoenix FM studio to tell us all about it.
Ever fancied being a train driver or waving the trains off at vintage railway? Well, there’s one just down the road in Ongar, and Mark Dewell from the Epping-Ongar Railway Volunteer Society will be popping in to tell us how they’re turning a redundant tube line into a vibrant local tourist attraction. He’ll also tell us about this weekend’s Father’s Day Special, and how YOU could get involved with the railway.
