Monday 6th February – The snow returns, Rainy days and Mondays... It was a year ago that snow brought the country to a standstill and after having the coldest January for over 20 years the big chill looks set to return with sleet and rain today and more snow showers by the end of the week with temperatures falling below freezing.
LOCAL NEWS Former Billericay School Boy Drew Levi Hunstman is through to the next round of Live and Unsigned at the Towngate Theatre on the 6th March. If he is lucky enough to win he will perform at the O2 Centre and win a £30000 music contract. And if you think that you have the talent to be the next big thing at the Brit Awards a search has started to find the next school superstar. The 'Brit Class Act' award is being supported by the Fifth Beatle Sir George Martin and aims to motivate students through music. LOCAL SPORT Aidan Robinson swims for his life as he gets a double gold and the best ever time for his 50 meter butterfly at 31.30 seconds – Could he be another Tom Daly in the making??? look out 2012 Olympics... What would you do??? Is the beautiful game more important than life or death? Husband and wife Southampton fans queued for hours for the chance of getting FA cup tickets for the match against south coast rivals Portsmouth. Mrs Reeves was 9 months pregnant and went in to labour in the queue, even though Mr Reeves offered to take her home, she insisted he stayed to get the tickets. At 50 places from the front her waters broke and he got to the hospital with the tickets in hand to see his baby daughter, Jessica, arrive in the world. Southampton FC were so impressed with the dedication that they gave Jessica a season ticket for life. Ahh what a happy ending :-) Written by Emma Sweeney
