CB December 16th 2009 (with Krystal Vayne & Bob Collum)

Another 3-hour special? Go on then, it is Christmas after all, and we were on a bit of a high from the latest Curveballs gig at Edge in Romford the previous evening – click here to see pics and vids from the gig!

Krystal Vayne (l-r): Muz (vocals/guitar), Chris (bass), Joe (guitar), Shaun (drums).

Tonight I was joined in the studio by locals Krystal Vayne. Fresh from impressing at our first Edge gig last month, the foursome look set to be a name to watch on the local scene in 2010. Influenced by classic rock, punk and everything in between, the band kickstart the new year with a show at The Box in Chelmsford on January 15th, with more gigs to come – you can see the full list, and find out more on the band, at www.myspace.com/krystalvayne. Have a listen to the 4 tracks played in the studio below:

Good Child

Concrete Feelings

Lost in Austin

The Abyss

I also chatted to Bob Collum ahead of his gig at New Lodge, Billericay the following night. Bob has just released Twisted Lines & Mixed Up Rhymes, from which we heard the track She Hates Me, one of the tracks he performed in the studio back in July. Bob will be back on the show in the new year, and there’ll be plenty of opportunities to catch him live around then – for a full list of dates, head to www.bobcollumonline.com.
