On with the lights ... For the fourth year running, Phoenix FM compered the switch on of the town's Christmas lights. Ed Wellman took charge of affairs on the Main Stage and the switch on was performed by the Mayor of Brentwood, Cllr Tony Sleep. Phoenix FM's Mike Le-Surf and Nigel Clarke were broadcasting on the live PA in Crown Street, making sure that people didn't forget that part of the town centre. In addition to this, Phoenix FM presenters Eddie Curry, Steve Mead, Alex Fletcher, Holly Black, Graeme Holiday, Monica Gibson, James Moloney, Rob Harvey, Nick Field and Steve Robertson were holed up in the Information Centre during the day, playing music over the tannoy system that stretched from one end of the High Street to the other. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Written by Paul Golder
