More surreal than John & Edward doing backing vocals for Salvador Dali... In surely one of our most far-out shows so far:
On finding out a man is suing Lynx deodorant after failing to land a hot woman like in the adverts, John decides to sue L’Oreal (plea: turns out she’s not worth it). That’s the relationship gone.
On finding out a Jail House Rock Barbie doll propelled Elvis to 4th highest earning dead celebrity, we discussed what caused the Barbie’s fall from blonde IT girl to transvestite convict. That’s our deal with Mattel gone.
And on the news that to reduce plane weight, Nippon Airways is encouraging passengers to ‘drop the kids off’ before boarding, Pete discussed his strategy for his flight that night. That’s well, that’s enough about Pete.
And as for our regular features:
In Pete’s Women’s Magazine challenge - this week featuring the hard hitting ‘Real Women’ - John scored a disappointing 1 point, after failing to get to grips with terrorists making omelettes and our Terry’s poisoned tea.
And in Psychic news we gave you a real life cat’s regression to a former life, which took us back to ancient Egypt (of course), where Tiddles revealed that there was indeed a good reason for owner Janice’s abusive husband. Well, that’s that explained.
Who needs happy pills? Tune in next week for more or less of the same.
Can’t Sing, can’t Dance, what do you do?
In a week where it seemed that of conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory,
Not making the list this week: Twins can only get better - D-readful, (don't) bring the noise - Public Enemies, Go Pest! - Pet Shop Boys, Stop Me Now - Queen and I won’t survive - Diana Dross. And, it seems like it was written just for them: Adam & The Ants - Goody two shows (can't sing, can't dance, what do you do?).
