This week I was joined in the studio by local promoter Mark Oliff, chatting about the launch of a new book on one of Brentwood’s favourite venues, the Hermit. Written by Jeff Merrifield, The Hermit: More Than Just Bricks tracks the venue’s 37-year history and many of the famous local acts who have played there over the years. There will be a launch event for the book this coming Sunday (11^th) at the Hermit, starting at 7pm, where you’ll get the chance to meet the author and maybe catch a few of the local names mentioned in the book doing a set!
