Modern Shopping So there I was. Standing at a Boots the Chemist counter with what I thought was a simple request. ? Do you sell new blades for my Phillips shaver I asked.. “Oh yes was the reply... £31 quid.... and how much is a new shaver I ventured to ask... £35 quid she said.. Stone me.. Talk about built in redundancy. Was a time you could nip down Romford market and pick up a set for a fiver? Now it’s a case of sling out the old and buy in the new. And they call this progress.
