The Saturday Kickabout - 27 June We started the last Saturday Kickabout in June with Steve Robertson and Dan Westram talking about a rain-free Wimbledon tournament as we headed in to the second week. Amid the thunder and lightning of Brentwood for the second hour of the programme, there was talk of rain closing in at Wimbledon as well. We had updates from the top of the Essex Cricket League as Brentwood travelled to Hainault & Clayhall. Brentwood won the toss, putting Hainault in to bat. The match eventually fell victim to the weather, with Brentwood getting six points from the game. Tom Dukeson kept us up to date with the local events, including the forthcoming Twenty20 match between Brentwood Buccaneers and Colchester, taking place on Friday 10 July at the Old County Ground. Dan Westram had all the latest football transfer news and rumours as we head towards the opening of the transfer window.
