The Saturday Kickabout - 20 June
This weekend's Saturday Kickabout saw June's Community Football Surgery, with Forest Glade FC's Mike Burchett discussing the success of the Forest Glade Fives tournament last month. We talked about the logistics of arranging the fixtures for the forthcoming season, along with the work involved and deadlines for officially recording each score at the end of a match. You can listen to the interview with Mike by clicking here. With the British Grand Prix qualifying, we had the latest news from the circuit as Steve Robertson spoke on the phone to Milos Pintrava from F1Wolf.com. Milos has traveled the world watching Formula One races and this was his first time at Silverstone. With Wimbledon just around the corner, we had a number of previews from the warm-up tournament venues. After a successful Twenty20 match against Orsett on Thursday we had a number of recorded interviews with some of the members of Brentwood Cricket Club. John Walford also gave us live updates on the match from the Old County Ground as Brentwood played Upminster at the top of the Essex League. In the Twenty20, Brentwood have a home fixture against Colchester to look forward to.
