CB May 20th 2009 (with Death Of The Elephant)

Death Of The Elephant (l-r): Dan (bass), Dee (vocals/guitar), Tom (drums).

A busy one tonight. Joining me in the studio were Chelmsford / California trio Death Of The Elephant, who appeared just ahead of a gig at the Hermit venue the following Friday. The band’s short but sharp garage rock sound has won them many converts over the last year and there are many more chances to catch them live over the summer across London and Essex – check their website www.myspace.com/deathoftheelephant for dates. They also have an EP available, with an eye to recording new material later in the year.

I also spoke to Curveballs favourites the Dirty Royals on the phone. The band played a session in the studio last September and are currently touring the UK. They have also just released a new acoustic EP, from which we played a brand new track, Hey Katrina. To get your hands on a copy, and find out where & when you can see the band live, get in touch via their website – www.myspace.com/dirtyroyals.
