Click here to listen to the interview again (31.7 MB, 69 mins 19 sec)

The first Southend Fringe Festival takes place in June 2009 and organiser Emma Reed came into Phoenix FM to talk about the festival and the events and groups participating this year who are all hoping to make it a success.

This photo can only be explained by listening in to the interview!

During the interview we also played the following songs from bands taking part at some point during the Fringe:

Steve Hooker - Stagger Lee Is Back
Voronas - I Love My Monsters
Tolivar - Wait For Me Daydreams
Tumbledryer Babies - Haunted House
Fancy Dress Party - Bookmarks
Brownies - Means To An End

The complete Fringe programme can be found at the Festival's official Myspace which is at www.myspace.com/southendfringe.
