Last week we had Councillor Dudley Payne in the studio who is the Mayor of Brentwood.  He explained how someone can become mayor and the roles and responsibilities that the Mayor has. Councillor Payne has been Mayor for nearly 12 months now and will be giving up his post soon, so glad we got to meet him.

As Proverbs 98 is a religious show we asked the Mayor about the importance of the Easter season. We also asked about the role of religion in the area and what we as Brentwood citizens can do to help the council and the Mayor’s charities. Me and the Mayor also did some name dropping and found we’ve met lots of the same people.

Councillor Payne also took over the mic and hijacked the studio for a few minutes as we switched roles! To listen to the interview click on the link above.
