Pterodactyl, Answering Machine and Dirty Epics

New music coming out your ears. Erotic.

Firsty, can Australia do no wrong with its brand spanking new wave of talent? Temper Trap join the ranks with single Hearts.

St. Vincent, aka Annie Clark, is set to alight SXSW this week with her unique brand of folk. Having played in both the Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Stevens, I'm predicting big things for St. Vincent. Look out for her forcoming second album Actor.

Again with the 'Nu Grave,' my new faves are East Londoners Lord Auch. Lead singer Si McCabe is the phonic double of Nick Cave.

Favourite track of the night goes to Detachments with The Flowers That Fell, released 27th April. Gloomytastic. Catch them at Barhouse in Chelmsford on 6th May. I'm so there.

Detachments

Pterodactyl the newest art-rock band from Brooklyn, New York (where else??). Their debut album World Wild gets a release on 21st April.

The Answering Machine from Manchester have been signed to Parlephone for about 3 years now but are finally releasing their debut album Another City, Another Sorry in May. Download their single Cliffer for free now!

Finally, Ireland can now be proud of its music. So long Boyzone and Westlife, sayonara U2 and hello girl punk! I've already loved for a whole year Fight Like Apes and now joining them are Dirty Epics and We Should Be Dead. Hooray!

Other newies were The Gin Riots, Hook & The Twin, Delphic, Ladyfinger (ne), The Marches, Danimal Kingdom, Fol Chen, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Lovvers and Mi Ami.
