Reverand Peter Thomas (Baptist) Click here to listen to the interview Last week we had Reverand Peter Thomas from the Brentwood Baptist Church who came on the show and spoke to us about his beliefs and the many roles he has in the church. Peter is the local minister at the Baptist Church on Kings Road but is also the secretary for the “Churches Together in Brentwood”. The Churches Together in Brentwood is a collective of 21 congregations including the cathedral and has around 6000-7000 members. Peter was on Phoenix FM last year promoting his book "Making Disciples One-to-One - Courses for Christian Growth" on the Oliver Rowe show and was also present at the official opening of Phoenix FM so is a good friend of the station. Peter told us the core beliefs and how it differs to other Christian churches, also telling us why Baptists are called Baptists, listen to the interview for more details. We also spoke about the question: One interesting fact about Reverand Thomas is that one week of his sabbatical last year was spent on a week-long retreat when silence was the rule observed by all.
