Reverend Trevor Jamison (United Reformed Church)

Click here to listen to the interview

Last week we had Reverend Trevor Jamison from the United Reformed Church (URC) in the studio answering our questions. Reverend Jamison is married with kids and is originally from Northern Ireland and is now in the area and works with 3 of the churches in Brentwood, Billericay and Ingatestone since 1995 having also served the church in Liverpool and the North East of England.

He spoke about his beliefs and his role as a minister in the local area including teaching and leading worship.  He shared a thought for the day and spoke about religion being back in the news and how knowing a religion is to live it “Taste and see that the Lord is good” (click on the link to hear the full interview).

We heard about the meaning and origin of Shrove Tuesday and the beginning of Lent (the 40 days leading up to Easter). We were luckily joined momentarily by fellow Phoenix FM presenter Hayley Crotty from “Freakquency” who gave us her perfect Pancake Recipe:

1 cup flour

Half cup milk

Half cup of water

One egg

(Makes 10 pancakes)
