CB January 21st 2009 (with Chris Jones)

Tonight it was very much a case of ‘keeping up with the Joneses’ as Barkingside-based singer-songwriter Chris Jones joined me in the studio. Compared to Billy Bragg and armed with an impressive array of material, young Chris can next be seen performing at the 12 Bar Club in Denmark Street near Tottenham Court Road on February 6th, and can be contacted via Myspace at www.myspace.com/chrisjonestheband.

We also heard from Billy Jones, frontman with Surface To Air – famously the first band ever to be interviewed on the show! After spending much of last year gigging and writing new material, the band are set for an even busier 2009 with plenty more shows and a new EP in the pipeline. We heard a taster of their new material in the form of new track Ordinary Ones. Hear it for yourself and find out more at www.myspace.com/surfacetoair.
