Drive - Charity Trek Student Rebecca Page Click here to listen to the interview REBECCA PAGE Rebecca Page, 20, from Brocksparkwood, will finish her final year of a natural sciences degree at Durham University, before starting a gap year by flying out to Tanzania on July 4 to climb Mount Kilimanjaro raising money for Save the Children and she came into Phoenix FM to have a chat She is taking part in the challenge through the Durham University Charities Kommittee (DUCK) and after the climb she will be helping out on some community projects before returning to the UK on August 6. Rebecca needs to raise £2,800 to take part in the challenge of which £1,400 will go to the children's charity and she is urging people and businesses in the area to sponsor her climb. Any money raised above this target will go straight to Save the Children. Rebecca is planning fundraising events including a sponsored walk at Weald Park on Easter Sunday. Rebecca, who is a president of the university's dance society, has set up a Facebook page for her seven day climbing challenge to scale the mountain which is nearly 6,000 metres above sea level. She said any businesses who sponsored her could be advertised on the dance society's wall at the university and banners could be displayed at fundraising events and even at the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
