Saturday kickabout Roundup - 27 December 2008.

For the last Saturday Kickabout of the year I was able to review the Boxing Day league football, along with previewing this coming Sunday's action.

This weekend's show had plenty of live sporting action with plenty of updates and results from the following matches:-

Thurrock v Chelmsford             0-0
Waltham Forest v Ilford             0-1
East Thurrock v Tilbury             4-2
Canvey v Dartford                      2-3
Aveley v Leyton                           1-1
Witham v Maldon                       2-2
Harlow v AFC Hornchurch       4-1
Brentwood v Redbridge           2-0
Great Wakering Rovers v Concord Rangers 0-2
Witham v Maldon                       2-2

Billericay travelled to Heybridge Swifts and were a goal up at half time, when the match was abandoned due to floodlight failure.



Guinness Premiership Rugby Union action had a few interesting results with the Twickenham match between Harlequins and Leicester ending in a 26-26 draw.  Newcastle v Worcester was also tied, at 16-16.
