Saturday Kickabout Roundup - 13 December 2008

There were six Premier league matches with a 3pm kick-off. By the end of the programme we had a few surprises, with Sunderland producing their first win after Roy Keane's departure as they beat West Brom 4-0 at the Stadium of Light.  Liverpool only managed a draw at home to Hull, and the evening match had Spurs and Man United eke-out a goalless draw.

Local football results saw Southend losing at home to Huddersfield and Leyton Orient losing to Cheltenham.  Colchester took three points from their trip to Elland Road.

For the second week in a row, floodlight failure affected a match in Essex as Dagenham and Redbridge's game to Exeter was abandoned at half time. Brentwood Town managed to repair theif floodlights after failing last week, as they beat Leyton's other football team 2-0.  Billericays trip to Tooting & Mitcham was called-off due to a waterlogged pitch.
