Howdy all, it's been a bit on and off over the past month and a bit. I went to uni last month and I've had so much work to do now that I'm in my third of university. Crazy times. Anywho's big up to B to the P Powis and Piers Hewitt for filling in whilst I've been away.

There's three shows I need to fill you in on. Firstly, 12th October when I welcomed Chelmsford-based band Matt Herbert and the Heavy Hitters who have a very unique bluesy and folk sound that they couldn't wait to share with us. We played their new EP Set Your Sails and had a chat with boys about gigging, twelve string guitars (no one plays them anymore apart from Matt of course) and their EP launch gig at the Bassment club. My next show was 26th October when I invited down music talent scout James from Crown Music Management, who famously manage the Sugababes, Gabriella Climi and the Raconteurs amongst others. we had a chat about the music industry and he eagerly brought down a stack of new music, all which I'd never even heard of - that's how new they were! All very excited. Some of the tracks were....

Amazing Baby - Pump Yr Brakes

Detroit Social Club - Sunshine People

Golden Silvers - Arrows of Eros

Passion Pit - Sleepy Head

Hockey - Too Fake

Amy Crowther - Round & Round

Dinosaur Pile-up - Rock and Roll

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And finally my third show, 2nd November (MY FREAKING BIRTHDAY DONTCHA KNOW), I decided to chronicle the best songs of each year for past 22 years, seeing as it was my 22nd birthday on Sunday. I indulged, it was fab! Here's what I played....
