New in November!!



Coming up this month--

Friday 7th NovRachel Lichtenstein is an artist, archivist and writer. She is the author of Rodinsky’s Whitechapel and co-author, with Iain Sinclair, of Rodinsky’s Room.

'On Brick Lane' is the first of a trilogy of books by Rachel Lichtenstein on London streets and will be followed by volumes on Hatton Garden and Portobello Road, both also to be published by Hamish Hamilton.

Friday 21st Nov -Lyn Smith has worked for over twenty years for the Imperial War Museum and has recorded a large proportion of their tapes of oral history. She is just completing a new 'Forgotten Voices of the Holocaust' and previous work includes 'Forgotten Voices of the First and Second World Wars'. Lyn Smith is also a lecturer in International Politics and International Affairs, and teaches at Regents College in London and at Webster University in St Louis, USA.

Lyn's latest book is Young Voices: British Children Remember The Second World War (2007).

Friday 28th NovAuthor and broadcaster Hallie Rubenhold was born in Los Angeles, California to a British father and an American mother and has spent much of her life between the UK and the US.
Her next book, Lady Worsley's Whim which documents the scandalous marriage of Sir Richard and Lady Worsley will be launched on the week of November 3rd.

Lady Worsley's Whim will also be BBC Radio 4's 'Book of the Week' starting Monday the 3rd of November. Rosamund Pike can be heard reading from an abridgement starting at 9:45 a.m. daily. A recording can also be heard on the BBC website.

Tune in EVERY Friday for 7-8pm for all this and more.
