Breakfast with Brian
The Saturday Breakfast Show is a great way to start your weekend if you're looking to do something in the Brentwoodand Billericay area - and beyond. Today my studio guest was David Preston, Customer Services Manager of Brentwood Library. David told me about the library’s Open Day, an attempt to get even more people to visit the library. The coming week being half term they’re holding a special Star Wars week with a Treasure Trail were kids can win some great prizes. Also next week, Connextions, a free information, advice, guidance and support service for all 13 - 19 year olds, 10am – 1pm. And, if you’re quick you can borrow an energy monitoring device to check just what electricity you’re using and possibly save yourself some money and reduce your carbon footprint at the same time. Check out the Brentwood Library on line by clicking here. I also spoke to Lesley Boyle who told me about the Jazz Night at St Margaret’s Hall in Doddinghurst with Pete Baker and his Hot Crusty Jazzers. If you’re reading this and would like to go then you’re too late as it was tonight (Saturday 25th) – but look out for other events happening at the Community Hall in Doddinghurst.
Now, it may sound like a lot of ducks but the answer is just three. Why? If you image yourself to be a duck, then that’s one duck. If there are two ducks in front of you, then that’s three ducks. If you swap places with the duck in the front then there’s you and the two ducks behind, still only three ducks. Finally if you change places with the duck in the middle, then there’s you and a duck either side of you – still three. That’s enough ducks. The Mystery Voice this week was former Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona who appeared on ITV1's This Morning and caused viewers to call in with concerns about her health as she was slurring her words Kerry seemed surprised by the question, but blamed prescription drugs she had taken to help her sleep. The correct answer came from Dick from the Shoe Tech, shoe repairs in Brentwood High Street. Well done, Dick. Written by Brian Wesley
