The Saturday Kickabout - 11 OctoberThere was no Premier League, or Football League Championship action this weekend, so the Saturday Kickabout had news from League One as we spoke to Southend United fan Mark Wingrove after an eventful match at Roots Hall which saw ten-man Southend draw 1-1 with Barnsley. Colchester lost 4-3 at Cheltenham and Leyton Oriend lost 2-1 away to Bristol Rovers. In Ryman Division One North, Brentwood Town earned a point from league leaders, Great Wakering Rovers, at the Brentwood Arena.
As usual we featured plenty of sport, with Lewis Hamilton on pole for the Japanese Grand Prix, plenty of Rugby news from the past week and Brentwood Ladies Hockey attempting to continue their run of clean sheets.
The World Cup Qualifiers were featured heavilly, with no mention of any goals in the England v Kazakhstan match by half time. The match finished 5-1 with all goals being scored after 6.00 pm.
