Wednesday 16th: Wendy Byland - Essex Air Ambulance

On Wednesday I was joined by Wendy Byland who is the Events Manager for Essex Air Ambulance who was telling me about several of their upcoming events but mostly their Dragon Boat Race and Family Fun Day which is taking place on Sunday 31st August.

It's all to support the Essex Air Ambulance which goes on about 3-5 rescuse missions per day - the only problem is that they cost around £2000 each! Ouch! And they rely on voluntary donations from the public and local businesses to keep it running.

So if you do want a good day out in support of a good cause, it's on from 10am at Hanningfield Reservoir near Chelmsford. You can take part in the boat race or just enjoy the various craft stands and attractions which will also be there.
