Another Week Gone! - Essex LibrariesThis week I was joined by Adrian Ure and Wendy Clark, to find out about what our local library is offering over the summer months... The first event is Fun in the Sun on Saturday 12 July - just one week away now - which is an opportunity to find out about activities being held over the summer by various organisations, and a chance to join up to the... Summer Reading Challenge which runs 19 July until 30 August. 43,000 children in Essex alone signed up to this last year, and all you've got to do is read six books over the summer and win prizes for doing it!! If you want to find out more simply pop along to your local library! This week saw us (and by us I mean the country as a whole, obviously!) be disappointed in the sporting world again at Wimbledonia and the world was on a post-Glastonbury come down after jay-z's shocking amazing - by all accounts - performance, and I saw rain for the first time since I began hosting the breakfast show - NOW if that's not news, I don't know what is - but that says it all about me surely!
