The Breakfast Show - June

Well I'm not quite sure where this first two weeks have gone, but gone they have and I'm now officially used to getting up at obscene o'clock in the morning!

I've been being joined by Mark for an hour every morning to discuss the paper's and am ashamed to admit that we have quickly slipped into the role of gossip columnists who are freakishly obsessed with page 3 of the Sun's "News in Briefs". I've tried to come up with an innovative new idea each day as well and these have included things like hanging a carrot off of a dog/cat cone when they are sick as a source of amusement and making sure you get first dibs at the free bbq in the chapel ruins by setting up camp early with a notebook and pencil so people think you're sketching. I'll try to include some best bits in future in podcast form if poss so watch this space...

Along with brass band member George Adey and Doctor Mark Porter who spoke to me about psoriasis (hope I've spelt that right) I also had the pleasure over the last fortnight of being joined by UK Hairdresser of the Year Michelle Gowlitt, who was nominated by clients of her salon 'The Lounge' and made it to the final five in London where she had to give a cut and blowdry to win the title, a trophy and the prize of a photoshoot in Cosmopolitan both alone and at a later date with Take That and McFly, oo err! So well done to Michelle and thank you to all my guests for coming in, and that includes Mark especially as he brings me cakes sometimes in the morning. Yum Yum!
