26 June 2008 - I Liberated Port Stanley Tesco's!A few new bands (well, new to me) played tonight ... Dublin's Fight Like Apes, who have this punk/powerpop thing going (but not in a bad way like, you know, all those bands) and a new single, Something Global, out in a couple of weeks time ... The Nerves (don't know much about them and probably never will) ... plus new stuff from Crystal Castles, Sigur Rós and Coldplay .. yes I like Coldplay ... well, they're alright...! Also played a song from Hungarian band Home Town, after I wearily told the singer, Vanda, that'd we'd play her song just because she was hanging round our chatroom! If you want some airplay, you can do worse than log on during my show ... And I had a request on the phone, which was weird! Most people listen to 10 minutes and give me up as a lost cause.
