Betfred.com League of Legends

Friday 30th May 2008 and saw the inaugural match in the Betfred.com League Of Legends at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet. 

The Legends taking part in this fantastic league are Bob Anderson, Keith Deller,  Eric Bristow, Peter Evison, Bobby George, Cliff Lazarenko, John Lowe and Dave Whitcombe. 
Each player will play every other player once.
Bull up will decide who will throw first in each match.
Matches to be played over 12 legs of 501 in the league section of the event. The first player to win seven legs will be deemed to be the winner of the match and no further legs will be played after this point. Four matches will be played per league night.

The top four players in the league table after the completion of the 7 league nights will progress to the play-offs at the Circus Tavern. Semi-Final matches to be played over the best of 21 legs and the Final to be played over the best of 31 legs.

In this first leg the Legends teamed up like this;

Deller vs Lazarenko
Deller won 7-5

Whitcombe vs Lowe
Whitcombe won 7-3

Anderson vs Evison
A 6-6 draw

Bristow vs George
Bristow won 7-5

The eight date League returns to Purfleet on the 22nd August for the finals, where the top four players contend for their share in the £50,000 prize pot.
