Body Talk -15th AprilMy guest this evening was Denis Mole, who is an acupuncturist. Acupuncture is the practise of inserting small needles into the body at specific points. They trigger responses in different parts of the brain and the body to help the healing process. It isn't as painful as it sounds! In fact, it can feel so relaxing that you fall asleep during the treatment which lasts about 25 minutes. Other sensations experienced can be tinglingling or a dull ache in a different part of the body entirely. That indicates that the treatment is taking effect. Denis's speciality is working with infertility, he has had a good deal of success over the years. A wide range of other conditions can be treated too, such as bowel disorders, headaches, insomnia, pain, sports injuries, smoking, tiredness and weight loss. Denis actually uses acupuncture on himself for sports injuries. He is a keen marathon runner and it comes in very useful. To find out more about acupuncture or to ask any questions, contact me at Phoenix 98fm. Written by Melanie Watson Posted in Body Talk 12 May 2008 Comments There are no comments for this post.
