St.George's Day at Murphy's Sports Bar Brentwood 2008.

After the Drive Time show on Wednesday 23rd April I went straight to Murphy's Sports Bar (for the day known as 'St.George's Sports Bar') in the name of research you understand, to see for myself just how well the celebrations were going. I needn't have worried.

As bar manager Marco Howard promised me when he visited the studio last week, it was packed with customers inside and out enjoying all things English and it was a roaring success (if you'll excuse the lion pun).

Next year Marco said he'll definetly book some Morris Dancers -  so you've been warned! Or if you like, you could join in?

So until April 23rd 2009 then?

.....and Marco Howard behind the bar with his wife and King Henry VIII ! Anyone who hasn't got the right change is off to The Bloody Tower!
