Sunday 20th April 2008

Hello once again and welcome to this edition of Back To The 80s! We had fun, fun and guess what more fun! Oh yes, and some cheese too!

The first of my top 3 this week on the first hour was the top 3 electro-pop songs. My top 3 were; Quiet Life by Japan at 3, Enola Gay by Orchestral Manouvres In The Dark at 2 and at no. 1 was Don't You Want Me By Human League!

On my second half of the show, my top 3 from my 1980s featured Artist for this week was music marvel Sting and his band The Police. My top 3 were; Englishmen In New York at 3 from 1985, Don't Stand So Close To Me at 2 from 1980 and at no. 1 was Every Breathe You Take from 1983.

My 1980s TV recommendation for this week is comedy gold (and my fave programme to be honest!) The Golden Girls. Set in Miami, it is about a group of old women and the ups and downs of their lifes and it ran from 1985 to 1992. You can now by all seven series on DVD or if you want to save the save pennies, you can catch it on Living TV, Sky Channel 112 on a Saturday and Sunday between 9am-10am!

My 1980s Film recommendation for this week is another comedy classic Nine to Five, starring Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin from 1980, it follows 3 women who show that there boss cannot get away with things lightly! It is now available to buy on DVD and look out for the new Nine to Five Musical, that should be hitting the UK in 2009!
