Teenage TV actress Arati Menon from Billericay came on air following last month's broadcast of ITV's The Bill including Arati playing the victim of an online stalker.

The 15 year old is used to taking on such involved parts after a Crimewatch reconstruction of a year ago cast Arati as a 12 year old who had suffered the ordeal of witnessing a parent being murdered.

The NSPCC has benefited from Arati's gritty performances with an appearance in a promotional film for the children's charity.  More uplifting is her recent success at Bollywood dancing, with practice for a global competition after winning regional heats.

Arati studies at Chelmsford County High, which excused her for three days of filming in December at production company Talkback's studios in London for The Bill.  The school has already to accommodate ten days stage and screen a year for the young star, who started as a child model aged nine.
