If somebody has a reason to celebrate then the boy’s never like to be left out, especially when there is an excuse to drink! And such was the case today, yes the Irish were celebrating St Patrick’s Day – so Mark & David felt obliged to follow suit. 

 

Today also saw them covering Anna & Toms show and as such their 5 hour Phoenix 98FM marathon started. Talking of marathons Mark revealed that he failed the ‘Challenge Mark’ feature from last week, unfortunately he missed the 1hr 50 min target set by David by a heartbreaking 60 seconds while competing the Brentwood Half Marathon.

 

Jo vs. Pro saw contrasting fortunes, namely David announcing he had A-Punk by Vampire Weekend as his back up because his first choice had failed to send a demo in time – only for Mark to spin out that very tune – Black Kids with the monster titled ‘I’m not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance with you’. Suffice to say Black Kids wiped the floor with A-Punk after both the boys backed it to be Record Of The Week.

 

The Budget was the answer to this weeks Sound of Newsic – Gary from Mountnessing guessed the correct answer after hearing Oasis with Cigarettes & Alcohol and Pink Floyds Money.

 

And finally the boys got crossed wires over David’s new feature ‘Soap Watch’, Mark expected a round up of all things Albert Square & Corrie while in reality Brentwood & Billericay discovered where the cheapest place to get Imperial Leather was.
