Body Talk -11th March

My guest this evening was Mr Rohaj Mehta, Dermatologist for Spire Healthcare.

Mr Mehta is a skin cancer specialist and was warning us of the dangers of too much exposure to sunlight. He advised that if you do go out in the sun, use plenty of protective sun creams. If you do notice any irregularities in your skin go and get it checked out. Key things to look for are moles that suddenly get bigger or become irritable., or unusual skin rashes or patches. the treatment for affected areas is very good theses days and skin cancers can be removed, but prevention is always better than cure.

Healthy diet is always a good way to let your skin glow from within.

Apparently it isn't true that you can sell warts. Mr Mehta would much rather remove them by laser surgery.

Skin conditions such as excema and dermatitis are also manageable  through healthy diet and proper medication.

If you have any questions about skin conditions, let me know and I'll pass them on to Mr Mehta.
