The Evening Hour 3rd March 2008

Jo, as ever, introduced the show.

Maddie did a book review, it was Lucky Star by Cathy Cassidy which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Sof and Hattie took some tips from the Girls Book Of Glamour, some of which were how to eat your way to good skin, how to have a good nights sleep, home facials, how to get rid of flaky lips and how to give yourself a face massage.

Hannah M informed us on Fair-Trade, it was formed in 1992 and makes sure that the farmers get a fair wage for their produce, Sainsbury's only use fair trade tea, roast and ground coffee and hot chocolate.  Sainsbury's actually loose money on their fair trade bananas.

Jo spoke about the Race For Life, the closest one to us in in Hylands Park and it is to raise money for Cancer research, it takes place at 11am on June 6th.  www.raceforlife.org

Hannah J spoke about World Book Day, Hollytrees School have given out £1 book vouchers.  She also talked about dressing up, apparently there are 5 steps to follow, choose a character, make sure that it doesn't cost a lot of money to create, make sure that you are comfortable in the outfit, enjoy the character and have some knowledge of the character.

Sof and Hattie then did a little more from the Girl's Book Of Glamour and discussed a French Manicure.

The show was finished up with a poem from Hannah J entitled Dad, You're Not Funny.

Next show 17th March.
