8th march

This week’s show as always promised to have all the normal brilliant features, including; Interesting Facts about the week ahead, the normal mix of great music and random chat and Mums song this week the song was chosen by Anna’s mum.

We started of with Duffy and Mercy Then Phil Collins and In The Air Tonight. We received a very amusing email during this from Phoenix presenter Muthamma Prasad telling us that her husband was being the drumming gorilla from the Cadburys advert during the song!

Then we had a whole load of music interrupted every now and then by our random but very amusing chatter.

Amy Winehouse – Back To Black
Sugababes – Denial
One Night Only – Just For Tonight
The Feeling – Thought It Was Over
Booty Luv – Boogie 2 Night

Then we had the first of 2 lots of random facts about next week as this week we managed to find nearly twice the number we usually do! So it was only right to have to lots of random facts!

We found out that today was International Women’s day, so Anna decided to make the assumption that today women were better than men! Well that could have started a debate! But that was quickly ended as Monday is international commonwealth day and also the start of brain awareness week! We then found out the Tuesday see’s the TRIC awards take place at Grosvenor house in London!

So then we played more music including;

Alphabeat – Fascination
Mark Ronson – Just
Elton John – Are You Ready For Love
The Kooks – Always Where I Need To Be
Timberland - Scream

Then we had the next lot of interesting facts which this time consisted of; Tuesday sees the start of the Cheltenham festival at Cheltenham race course, Wednesday is national no smoking day which pleased Anna and Me! Also Wednesday is world kidney day! And finally that Friday sees the start of the Daily Mail Ideal Home Show at Earls Court in London!

We then had another spattering of music which included;

The Wombats – Moving to New York
Rihanah – Please Don’t Stop The Music
Muse – Starlight
Girls Aloud – Can’t Speak French
Take That – Shine

Then we had mums song, this week chosen by Anna’s mum she wanted oasis but not wonderwall as it was too predictable so she went for the second most predictable and picked Don’t Look Back In Anger. Even though it was predictable it’s a good choice!

After that My Dad was feeling left out as there is no “Dads song” so we played Worried About Ray by The Hoosiers for him!

Before handing over to the sports show we played British Sea Power with No Lucifer.

Next week Anna and my show will be covered by someone else so we will see you on the 22nd march!!!!
