Bear at Lunchtime: Richard III interview

Alan Ablewhite (Chairman of Brentwood Shakespeare Company) and Mark Reed (from Brentwood Theatre) joined The Bear at Lunchtime on Monday 23rd to talk about “Richard III”.

It was a fascinating chat, where Alan discussed whether Richard III was really such a villain, and how Shakespeare plays are still relevant today.

Alan also showed that some words that were used for the first time in Shakespeare are commonly used today, for example:
Frugal
Compromise
Assassination
Champion
Majestic
Moonbeam
Blushing

Richard III is an amazing play and is performed beautifully by The Brentwood Shakespeare Company.  Tickets available until Saturday 28th April at The Brentwood Theatre: 01277 200305
