I just saw your Panda......

.....allo, how the devil are you?  Nice to see you again, no, really........

Anyways, here's what you came for, a lovely band, Bumtech, sent me their album Beware Of The D-G.  Sharon and John sent me a nice MySpace message too making sure that I'd received it.  Also received the new Whoremoan album this week, a little heavy for the show but we'll make it fit somewhere I'm sure.

Pure Reason Revolution was the artist of the week this week, the Reading New Wave Prog Rockers were played out three times an hour, all the highlights of their album The Dark Third were aired.

Marni bought us Art Of Invasion and more International Flannel as her picks, see what she had to say about the bands below, and I basically mocked the fact that she has "man servants", you can find out more by having a listen HERE.

International Flannel

They formed in 2002. A power trio which hail from Auckland’s underground music scene

Described as, (quote found) “combining the best elements of grunge power ethos, punk attitude and a spaced out dose of atmosphere-ia", and, "one of Auckland's best loved and most aurally enchanting live acts" by, Rip It Up’s Reuben Bonner.

They're currently promoting their third EP which is titled ‘Blood and Bone’ which we played last week.

Earlier EP’s
‘Extended Play’ in 2005
‘Edge of the Sky’ in 2006
The Band believes that  ‘Blood and Bone’  better represents their musical vision.

The band have released their video for ‘Getaway’ The ‘Getaway’ video, in their words, “features a psychedelic journey of a young boy who encounters other worlds and times with the help of his magic view master.”

The video has been featured on C4 ‘select’, Juice TV and Alt TV.  KIWI TV I suppose!

Melbourne will make them their own if they’re any good!
Just like we did with Phar Lap and Mel Gibson. BUT apparently she meant Russell Crowe Sorry about that!

And they’re also in the final stages of making the video for the single we played tonight! ‘I am so high’.

They're a 4 piece from Sydney NSW

They're currently writing new material with a new drummer and finishing their 5 track EP to be released in the next few months. Keep an eye on their myspace for updates!

Ben, (bassist) and singer/keyboardist Parlo, recorded, mixed, mastered and produced the ep, from scratch...

ages range from 18 to 22, (which Marni kept mentioning, I dunno why?).

They’re looking to set their sites on the UK or USA in the next 2 years so …….if you listening and you think you can offer these guys a great deal you know where to go....

Side Note:
Their old drummer left them to join a hippie community .. true story apparently.

Keep and eye on these guys.

We’ll be playing another tunefrom them next week on Vm with Bryan as I will be away tripping the light fantastic somewhere!

Ian Beale is more than KEEPING it real!
