Almost 100 stalls gathered at the Brentwood centre for the 6th annual Essex Leisure and Tourism show on Thursday which included exhibitors not just from Essex but also from the surrounding counties. Companies included in the exhibition were those from Cadbury’s world, Adventure Island and Essex Country Parks to name a few.

Phoenix spoke too many of the exhibitors to see what they were offering for 2008. There were ample events going on throughout the year including days out for all the family. Phoenix spoke to event organiser Carol Jolly who explained how she hoped it would mean the public would be aware of what’s right on their doorstep and for the community to be aware of the exciting events that are happening in Essex and the surrounding areas.

The Essex Baebes
Fearney explained how the stalls all had something different to offer the whole community. She saw people in character advertising their crafts. She also watched live entertainment from Ye Essex Baebes and said ‘it was something completely different, they had a medieval sound which was enjoyable and not what you get everyday’.

The stalls advised of the events happening throughout 2008 mainly in the summer. Those that particularly stood out were Essex Country Parks who explained the joy of the historic Hadleigh Castle. The Sea Life centre proved to have the most original stall in which they brought along there starfish all the way from Southend! It is definitely one for the whole family.
