Didi you know that bananas can help stop cramp.

Yes, it's true. Bananas contain potassium. A lack of potassium could be what's giving you those painful spasms.

Nobody seems to know what causes it, there seem to be so many different types. Sports cramps happen when you're exercising, and then there's those horrid night cramps, and just general attacks when you're not expecting it.

Some experts think that it's due to poor flexibility, and muscle tiredness, others suggest dehydration heat, and lack of certain vitamins and minerals. Along with bananas, you could try increasing your intake of pulses, garlic and onions, fruit and veg, and anything with vitamin e, such as nuts and seeds.
