Chinese New Year In BrentwoodThursday 7th February 2008 Chinese Year Of The Rat Phoenix FM were lucky enough to be invited to the Celebrations for the Chinese New Year in Brentwood. It was called the "East Meet West Event" and involved pupils from local schools, Brentwood Borough Council and Walk The Plank, who create art events, fireshows, firework displays and community-based work; they also own and operate Britain's only touring theatre ship. The pupils had created lanterns for the parade from the Town Hall, Ingrave Road to the Baytree Centre where there was a firework finale in, and around, the Chapel Ruins. After the firework display there was a buffet in the Baytree Centre supplied by the Joy Fook Restaurant.
