Album sales in the UK suffer drops!

Could this be the beginning of the end for Music shops (probably not)

Album sales in the UK suffer a drop of nearly 11% in 2007, according to the new industry figures. Music industry body the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) put the 11% drop down to copyright theft and difficult retail condtions. Also albulm unbundling (where consumers download individual tracks rather than the whole albulm) had contribuated to the decline. But download sales boosted the singles market by 30% last year.

"does my mouth look big in this?"

Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler has sold the rights to nearly 160 songs including "Love in an Elevator" and "Dude looks like a Lady". At a staggering $50,000,000 deal, the reason for all this is because the tax on selling copyrights has dropped from 38% to 15%.
