Soul Inspired 10th January 2008I had a little break from the featured artist spot this week and had a featured album instead. This week we heard some tracks from Dusty Springfield's 1969 release 'Dusty in Memphis' (see here and here for more details) an album that almost slipped under the radar when released but now features regularly on all-time great album listings on all the major music magazine polls. Also for the first time on the Love God Lounge we had songs from the sixties only. It occured to me recently that The Lounge hadn't featured a single song from that decade so far so I thought I'd put that right this week. As the tracks are fairly short we had four instead of the usual two so take a bow Betty Everett, Cicero Blake, Little Anthony and the Imperials and the genius that is Stevie Wonder.
