Oliver Rowe All about Oliver ... Favourite bands/artists Not a particularly discerning music listener or frequent album buyer, but The Hoosiers made me turn up the radio last year, The Killers this. Roisin Murphy, ex Moloko’s worth a listen. Favourite books F Scott Fitzgerald’s Great Gatsby, Schindler's Ark by Thomas Keneally (turned into film Schindler’s List), Laurence Anholt’s Degas and the Little Dancer (for reading to children). Favourite TV and films Whenever Jeremy Clarkson chairs HIGNFY, it's like watching two favourite programmes rolled into one. Jonathan Rhys Meyers was a fab Henry VIII in The Tudors on BBC2. Frasier, cos it’s a radio-based sitcom. Le Carré's book The Constant Gardener was turned into a moving film released in 2005. One other thing I love Cars – as sold at show sponsor Essex Ford Billericay, of course. Seriously, their other dealership also sells Fiats and it’s great the Fiat 500’s popularity effectively saved the company. One thing I really hate Music with intros and outros composed to catch out radio presenters. |
