Details:The concert features two major works from the 20th century. John Rutter's Feel the Spirit is a collection of spirituals, arranged for accompanied choir and soprano soloist. Durufle's setting of the Requiem Mass has established itself as a choral standard, with its evocative reworking of plainsong chant. The Singers are joined by Chloe Treharne as the soloist in this concert. The organ will be played by Laurence Lyndon-Jones, Assistant Organist of Chelmsford Cathedral.
