Election 2007



Phoenix FM was at the local elections which took place on 3 May 2007, with final counting at the Brentwood Centre. The Phoenix News Team, headed up by Gemma Smith and Lee Trunks, were there to see the ballot boxes arrive and then recorded the results as they came in and grabbed as many interviews as possible.

We were lucky in that Brentwood was the first council in the UK to declare its votes (according to the Press Association), so we managed to wrap it all up before 2am!

The interviews recorded made up the majority of Friday morning's Phoenix Rising show.
