Missoula Romford Review

Missoula is always one of my top choices when I go out in Romford, it is very modern, spacious and offers a range of drinks. Last night we celebrated my friends 25th birthday there – VIP style!
Missoula 2
When we arrived at 10pm there was a steady pace of people entering the venue including 24 of us! After getting our ID’s checked and obtaining a re-entry stamp, we asked for Chloe the Events Manager who greeted us at the door and lead us to the upstairs area where we had 4 booths roped off for our own private area. Once we were sat down and settled we were brought over two bottles of drink with big sparklers attached to the ice buckets which were crackling away as they were placed on the table! Our area was right next to the bar which meant once our bottles had ran out we were nice and close to continue to refresh ourselves from all the dancing!

Daytime tables are removed to make space for a dance floor at night.

Daytime tables are removed to make space for a dance floor at night.

We spent most of our time in our own area using the space to bust some moves however we did go downstairs for a bit where there is a dance floor alongside an additional bar.  Opposite the bar is another VIP area right next to the DJ who played current tracks, classic clubbing songs, chart tunes and a few throwbacks!  As well as the VIP area, there are also seating areas by the huge windows at the front of Missoula with a cloak room near the door and a smoking area just outside the front with a view of Romford’s High Street.

The downstairs VIP area.

All in all we had a very enjoyable night celebrating my friends 25th in Missoula Romford. The birthday girl was kept happy throughout the night doing her favourite things with her favourite people! Missoula is one of the regular places we visit in Romford for nights out as well as day time drinks and dinners.  It’s a very nice venue to spend time in and that is why we often return!

Hollie & Alex Interview

Hollie and Alex, the winners of Brentwood’s heat from local singing competition The S Factor, were in the Phoenix FM studio last night to talk about the competition and perform live.   Alex & Hollie
After beating 11 other contestants at The Merchant in Brentwood a couple of weeks ago, the duo are now through to The S Factor finals taking place at The Sutton Arms in Hornchurch on 23rd March. During the interview Hollie and Alex, who are dating, explained why they entered the competition, talked about their musical backgrounds and even took part in a quiz to see how well they know each other!

They also performed two acoustic tracks: All Of Me by John Legend and One and Only by Adele. You can listen back to the interview and the performances here:

Chart Tunes From The Big Screen

With the recent release of the current number 1 film in the world Logan, the final instalment of the Wolverine franchise, tonight’s theme was based on film soundtracks.

Heathens – Twenty One Pilots (Suicide Squad)
Love Me Like You Do – Ellie Goulding (50 Shades of Grey)
I Don’t Wana Live Forever – Zayn and Taylor Swift (50 Shades Darker)
Pony – Ginuwine (Magic Mike XXL)
Lady Marmalade – Christina Aguleria, Pink, Lil Kim and Mya (Moulin Rouge)
Can’t Stop The Feeling – Justin Timberlake (Trolls)
Happy – Pharrell Williams (Despicable Me 2)
All Star – Smashmouth – (Shrek)
Shut Up and Dance – Walk The Moon (Bad Moms)
Boom Clap – Charli XCX  (The Fault In Our stars)
See You Again – Wiz Khalifa (Fast and Furious 7)
Skyfall – Adele (James Bond: Skyfall)
Shake It Off – Taylor Swift (Sing)
Just Like Fire – Pink (Alice Through The Looking Glass)
Confident – Demi Levato (Bad Moms)
Cake by the ocean – DNCE (Bad Moms)
FlashLight – Jessie J (Pitch Perfect 2)
I Love It – Icona Pop (Bad Moms)
