All about crime

You really do have to admire the inventiveness of the man claiming to be a police detective who tried to get a store for adult movies to give him free X-rated videos, on the grounds that he needed to make sure that the performers weren’t under age.

Adults only

After 3 unsuccessful attempts the store manager called in the real police.

According to authorities the man showed a badge and left a business card from the Longmont police “age verification unit” which surprise, surprise, doesn’t exist!

Whilst the card didn’t bear an individual’s name the store’s CCTV video is being used to try and trace the individual involved!

So whilst he didn’t get any movies, he’s now starring in one himself!

And Margaret Mills kept to the theme of crime today with the tale of John Turner, an Essex burglar who was very active for a time in the 1820’s.
