Friday Night Extra 10.6.17 A politics free zone

Great to hear from so many listeners tonight delighted to hear nothing about politics.  We had an eclectic music mix that included a number of listener’s requests. We played another exclusive track from Lisa Harman, who was listening to the show on the train from Brighton to London. The feature artist in the second hour were Cupid’s Inspiration, as suggested by Patrick. I was amazed to discover that this band, which had two hits in the UK in 1968 are still touring. Equally surprising was to hear from Rene about Johnny Clegg. This South African music legend played to sell out concerts in the UK this year. We also liked the track by The Bacon Brothers, Kevin and Michael. Apparently they have released seven albums. Here is another back catalogue to explore.
