WE ARE FSTVL REVIEW

‘In The House’ is relished upon House Music, new and old, I have a love for this genre thus We Are Festival appeared highly appealing to my taste. I attended the first day of the festival – 27th May. Before I go into detail, of my view of the day, to sum it up in one word – incredible.

On the Saturday headlining artists were as followed: Hannah Wants, Armand Van Helden, Tchami, MK – which were all highlights for me.

Hannah Wants in particular stood out to me, mainly because I have been an admirer of her for many years now. To thousands she shared a deep house sound, with a few classics thrown in there, with some heavy baselines too. This to me is a perfect formula. Hannah performed in the tent that was known as ‘Terminal 1’, the event staged at Damyns Hall Aerodrome consisted of various arenas that were tent base, with three terminals and multiple tents, such as the love juice tent – a favourite of mine, that played tunes you couldn’t t resist singing along to.

Another highlight of the day for me was watching the legend that is Armand Van Helden. When I was first introduced to the House music scene, Van Helden was one of the first producers I was introduced to then became to love. Hearing the classics ‘My My My’ and ‘You Don’t Know Me’, blast through the booming speakers combined with the thrilling atmosphere with the thousands of attendees all emitting warmth from the love of the music, was truly a great moment.

Tickets for We Are Festival 2018 are already on sale, and I will certainly be purchasing a ticket at some point and if house music is your thing I highly recommend yo do too!

Catch me every Saturday with ‘In The House’ from 12-1pm!
